With the exception of the daytime Brooklyn show to benefit Brooklyn PS146, all these shows are benefits for a great non-profit organization called Generation Schools. Here's a bit about their scene:

Generation Schools is a nonprofit organization piloting a new urban public school model where skilled teachers teach a handful of students, not a roomful -- without increasing costs. The schools will offer unparalleled opportunities for students and comprehensive residencies for new urban teachers. Generation Schools is opening its first school in the fall of 2007. Their remarkable new school model actually reinvents -- not just reforms -- the possibilities of America's public schools. "Greetings from the road. We've crossed the halfway mark of our tour and wanted to thank everybody who has come out so far.

We are headlining Tulip Fest in beautiful Albany, NY (home of the Egg) and it is utterly free! We were restricted from announcing it until last month and then sorta forgot to remind everyone about it when the tour started.
Also on the free show docket, we've got a taping of a radio appearance at WHYY around noon on June 30 in Philadelphia (that is an all-ages event) and our first annual Podcast Spectacular the next night at the Mohegan Sun. That is going to be with a horn section and some very special guests -- and again it is totally free. The Mohegan Sun is a couple of hours drive from NYC or Boston, and we encourage everyone to come on down. We guarantee the event will be a total gas."
